Evolving Beyond Our Roots: RootFi is now Integration Labs
Table of contents
We’re changing our name from RootFi to Integration Labs.
Our customers need more than financial data and help solving unique integration challenges, and we hate saying no.
That’s why we're thrilled to introduce a new chapter in our journey: RootFi is now Integration Labs.
You can skip ahead to see what these changes mean for you (spoiler: not much, right away), but first, let’s go back a bit.
Why We're Changing
RootFi was built to help companies leverage financial data effortlessly.
Our mission was clear - to make it easy, safe, and reliable for companies to access their customers' accounting, e-commerce, and payment data.
"RootFi” symbolized our commitment to being the safe and trusted foundational layer for businesses could build and innovate. After all, RootFi is a contraction of “RootFi of all Financial Data.”
We’ve successfully built a Unified API for accounting, payments and ecommerce platforms. Our features include read-and-write support, an intuitive dashboard, sandboxes for testing, 24*7 customer support, historical and real-time data, and more. RootFi also provides a seamless front-end SDK for authentication, real-time monitoring and webhook notifications, which our customers love.
At the same time, our customers’ data access problems aren’t limited to financial categories like accounting and payments. The software landscape is vast and ever-growing, and the potential for impact is enormous - not just in finance but across all software categories.
Some customers have also struggled with unique challenges we could solve. We’ve had countless custom requests from Day 1. These requests were diverse and unique, including:
- integrations beyond our current categories,
- building custom API endpoints,
- managing the integrations project from start to finish; from planning and UI to implementation and deployment.
To embrace this broader demand, we needed a name that reflects our expanded mission. That’s why we’re now Integration Labs.
What Integration Labs Represents
Integration Labs is not just a new name, it signifies our dedication to serving a wider array of integration needs, beyond the boundaries of financial data to encompass any third-party software integration you might require.
We want Integration Labs to be your one-stop partner for seamless data connectivity. Here’s the plan:
- We will continue to offer an ever-expanding range of pre-built integrations for the most popular software in accounting, payments, and e-commerce categories,
- We will launch integrations in new categories,
- We will accept custom service requests from customers with unique requirements, and
- We will experiment with launching new products that leverage AI and more
What this change means for our existing customers
If you’re an existing customer, nothing is changing. It's still the same benefits you're used to, with much more coming soon. Here’s what will and won’t change:
- You'll still use the same login details
- All rootfi.dev links will redirect to integrationlabs.co
- Your existing integration settings and configurations will not change
- All APIs will remain the same
Looking Ahead
The change to Integration Labs marks a significant milestone in our journey, but our core values remain unchanged. We're still the same team, committed to excellence, innovation, and customer success. What's changing is the scope of our ambition.
We’re grateful to continue working with amazing customers and can’t wait to partner with more innovative businesses. Together, we'll build, launch, and scale to multiple third-party software, empowering your product and engineering teams to integrate with an entire industry or launch custom integrations without any headaches.
Thank you for being a part of our journey so far. We're excited about the future and what we can achieve together as Integration Labs.
